The current business climate has its challenges, which concern me.  


 Some of my ideas are:

  • Offer our members resources to enhance leadership skills including business acumen,  fundamentals of succession planning, how to leverage a coaching culture, etc.
  • Share best practices among the chapters to navigate the political process and build stro

 Some of my ideas are:

  • Offer our members resources to enhance leadership skills including business acumen,  fundamentals of succession planning, how to leverage a coaching culture, etc.
  • Share best practices among the chapters to navigate the political process and build stronger relationships with legislators and policy makers.
  • Transform professional development by taking legislation and providing actionable steps our members can use to run their business.
  • Invest in the future generation with college partnerships to drive early excitement and engagement in the employee benefit industry, leading to membership growth.

In 2019, our family visited Japan to study their culture.  The takeaways that are important to me as a leader are:

  • The small details, enhance the value of an experience
  • Developing new & young professionals through coaching and mentoring leads to succession and future growth.

  • Cooking on the weekends has become a family tradition as we prepare for the week ahead.
  • Reading -articles, books, blogs or even listening to a podcast is part of my daily routine. 
  • Art is a way, I relax - scrap booking, pottery, mosaics, etc.
  • Music -is an important part of my life.  I am a band mom, my daughter plays trombone and baritone. D

  • Music -is an important part of my life.  I am a band mom, my daughter plays trombone and baritone. During COVID, Rock Band has become a regular activity in our home - Susan singing, while Noah and Lizzie play the guitar and drums.
