Highlights: Press conference with Janet Trautwein, Indiana Legislators, Indiana Depart of Health, Indiana State Association of Health Underwriters, multiple employers and Pfizer. The program today is known as the Indiana Quit Line. Everyone benefits when the air is cleared of secondhand smoke. Workers become healthier, and healthier workers miss less work, are more productive and have lower health care costs. Smoke-free initiatives are good for your workers' health - and that's good for your bottom line.
HIP 2.0 - Working with State of Indiana/ Seema Verma
Highlights: As a leader in the Indiana State Association of Health Underwriters, we participated in multiple stakeholder meetings, supplied data and recommendations for setting up the structure of HIP 2.0.
Industry Meetings
Strategic Partner meetings with PAI, Big I, Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Indiana Manufacturer's Association as bills are introduced at the state house.
NAHU Legislation Participation
Regularly provide data and input to NAHU staff as they prepare comment letters for policy change recommendations. Most recently, helping with the Direct Primary Care (DPC) letter in August.
